DITUR - SCANDINAVIA'S LARGEST ONLINE RETAILER OF WATCHES AND ACCESSORIES - OPENS THEIR FIRST STORE OUTSIDE DENMARK IN EMPORIA

Ditur, which primarily focuses on online shopping, expects to grow in the coming years by establishing stores in more locations and markets. The first outside Denmark is the one in Emporia.

Ditur values the physical store for product exposure and allowing customers to experience the products, at the same time as the physical stores act as service centers for the online business.

We recognize a great value in having a physical store where the products can be experienced physically, which is also the reason why we are now opening in Emporia in Malmö. The physical stores give us a necessary market presence, and they serve as a shop window and service center for our online business, says co-founder and CEO Kasper Dissing.

Ditur has found Emporia interesting because it reaches out to both Swedish customers and customers in the Copenhagen area. Emporia is exciting because it is logistically close to Denmark, but at the same time represents one of the largest shopping centers in Sweden.

The catchment area is large and includes our customers in the Copenhagen area, says Kasper Dissing.

We are proud to welcome the Danish watch company Ditur to Emporia. Ditur is another player at Emporia with strong online sales that chooses to open a physical store, which is very gratifying. They complement our other range of watches and accessories and I look forward to following their continuous growth, says Martin Lundquist, Shopping Center Manager in Emporia.

Emporias cathment areas consist of 4,2 million people in the Öresunds Region. Emporia has approx 7,7 million visitors a year.

About Ditur: In 2014, twin brothers Kasper and Mikkel Dissing founded the company Ditur, which initially operated from their youth room in Højbjerg, Denmark. It all started when they began buying watches for themselves, which attracted a lot of attention from their friends and family. When they founded Ditur, it was with the vision that everyone is entitled to a watch that looks like a million without costing one. It’s a vision that still applies. That’s the reason why they aim to sell watches in a price range that most people can afford.

In 2019, the brothers were invited to participate in the Danish Dragon’s Den, and when the program appeared on Danish television in 2020, almost the entire population of Denmark watched as both Jesper Buch, founder of Just Eat, and Jacob Risgaard, co-founder of Coolshop, chose to invest in the company. As a result of the participation, Danes started to take notice of Ditur, but it wasn’t until the corona pandemic hit and all commerce was pushed online that sales exploded. Today they are Scandinavia’s largest online retailer of watches and accessories, with an online presence in seven markets and three physical stores - in Aarhus C, Hasselager and Malmö. The range includes around 170 different brands and 15,000 different watches. These include well-known brands such as Tissot, Jaguar, Maserati, and Seiko, but also their own brand, Dissing.
