DE&I WEEK WITH FOCUS ON GENERATIONAL DIVERSITY

At Steen & Strøm we are convinced that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) is crucial to creating a dynamic and successful workplace. Every year, in collaboration with our majority shareholder Klépierre, we dedicate a week to deepen our commitment to these issues.

The week started with an inspiring lecture by Josef Schovanec, philosopher, author and committed advocate of neurodiversity. Josef was diagnosed with autism at the age of 22 and has dedicated his life to changing the way we think about difference. With his unique perspective, humor and deep knowledge, he challenges stereotypes and encourages a more inclusive approach.

At Steen & Ström, this year we chose to focus on generational diversity, and how we can capitalize on the strength of different generations working together. To promote meetings between generations, we introduced GenMixer - a simple but effective initiative where colleagues from different generations could meet over a cup of coffee, tea or non-alcoholic beverage of their choice, either IRL or digitally!

We were many who took the opportunity to have a coffee, get to know each other, gain new insights on how different generational perspectives affect the way we work together.

The week ended with an engaging session led by Sigurd Granmark, who shared his expertise on how values-based leadership and corporate culture can build bridges between generations. With experience as a former leader at Adidas Group and research from over1,0 00 organizations, Sigurd showed how a strong and inclusive culture benefits both individuals and companies.

DE&I Week is more than just an annual event - it is part of our long-term commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and has the opportunity to contribute.

We look forward to continuing our efforts to be an inspiring diversity equity and inclusive employer it is an important and ongoing endeavour!
