At Steen & Strøm, we strive to create joyful and good experiences at our shopping centers no matter of our visitors’ age. It has become a beloved tradition at Bruuns Galleri to welcome Bamsehospitalet, the Teddy Bear Hospital – that brings joy and learning to children.

This year 200 teaddy bears came to vist Bamsehospitalet - a concept developed by Danske Hospitalsklovne (Danish Hospital Clowns), with whom Bruuns Galleri on Aarhus has a strong and valuable partnership. The event is carried out in collaboration with medical students who incorporate this initiative into their education. Children bring their teddy bears to be examined, helping them gain a better understanding of what happens at a hospital, making the experience fun, educational, and reassuring.

The collaboration with Danske Hospitalsklovne includes both the Teddy Bear Hospital and the Clown Run, two annual events that we are pleased to host. These initiatives create enjoyable moments not only for our visiting children and families, but also for us!

– The response to this year’s Bamsehispital was very positive. With each event, we refine and enhance the experience, ensuring that both children and parents have the best possible visit. Last year, we introduced a ‘waiting room’ where children could enjoy activity books and drawing while waiting for their turn – an element we chose to keep due to its popularity. Additionally, our clients at Bruuns Galleri actively support the event, with BR generously donating prizes for our activities, says Maja Degn, Marketing Manager at Bruuns Galleri.
