POPULAR KVICKLY VEJLE WILL REMAIN IN BRYGGEN AND GROWTH IS EXPECTED
We are happy and proud to share this fantastic news! The popular supermarket Kvickly Vejle will remain in Bryggen and they expect continuous growth. The store has been acquired by De Selvstændige Brugsforeninger, which are part of Coop Denmark. The new collaboration is a source of great enthusiasm for all parties.
Kvickly runs a good business in a locally anchored shopping centre and has skilled and committed employees who have managed to create a fantastic network with 12,000 members. We want to support this, and we are pleased with the willingness to cooperate on all sides, says Lars G. Andersen, director of Brugsforeningen for Als og Sundeved and chairman of Vejle Detail A/S.
It is fantastic that the twelve independent Kvickly agricultural associations believe in our business and our 80 employees, who can now keep their jobs - including butchers, greengrocers, cashiers and our 30 young workers. We could not have done it without our dedicated employees, who have prioritised quality and local commitment to service, says Kenni Tolstrup, department store manager at Kvickly Vejle.
Around 600 customers a week have expressed to employees that they hoped Kvickly Vejle would continue to exist in Bryggen. The local support has played an important role for the new ownership, concludes Lars G. Andersen.
We are very pleased that the twelve independent Kvickly cooperatives have seen the good match between Kvickly and Bryggen with a focus on quality, attentive service, streamlined framework and a high store standard. We have very much the same broad target group with a particular focus on families with children, and it is of great value to be locally anchored in central Vejle with good parking facilities, says Regional Centre Manager Claus Brændgaard, Steen & Ström.
