
NEW OPENINGS & REFURBISHMENTS CONTRIBUTES TO OSLO CITY'S POSITION
Oslo City, with over 11 million visitors annually, continues to strengthen the position as a strong hub and shopping center in Oslo. The work to energise Oslo City is ongoing and is taking place step by step. We are delighted that 10 stores have chosen to invest in their sites and implemented the latest concepts. In addition, 4 new store concepts have established and contributed to expanding the retail mix.
The fact that many of our retailers have chosen to invest and develop their stores in terms of both size and concept shows that we are a shopping centre that delivers on both footfall and attractive content. In addition, many retailers choose to locate their first store and/or their flagship store here. We see this as a result of creating relevant and updated content together with our tenants, which we are proud of and happy about, says Elisabeth Lohk, Centre Manager at Oslo City. We also take into account the preferences of visitors and target groups, especially people on the move, to develop the retail mix and the customer journey
Johanna Funevik, Leasing Manager at Steen & Strøm, compares the development of Oslo City to a jigsaw puzzle made up of different players whose content will complement each other and help to develop the customer journey for visitors to the shopping center.
This is a project where we’re thinking long-term. Many existing tenants want to expand their retail space, while at the same time we have new players knocking on the door. The leasing team at Oslo City has done a fantastic job of solving the challenges and meeting the wishes of both tenants and visitors, says Elisabeth Lohk.

Ten refurbishments
Ten of our existing tenants have chosen to invest in their stores at Oslo City over the past year and have upgraded with the latest store concepts. For example, H&M, which has been here for over 30 years, has renovated its 3,500 square metres spread over four floors and chose to open one of its first two H&M Beauty stores in the world here at Oslo City. In addition, LIFE has chosen to expand its store with its new concept after 20 years here at the centre. VITA, ACCESSORIZE, NORLI, VIC, VINMONOPLET, VOLT, DRESSMAN and CARLINGS have also chosen to invest with their new store concepts.
